Some people say that now we can see films on our phones or tablets there is no need to go to the cinema. Others say that to be fully enjoyed, films need to be seen in a cinema.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Many people believe that, instead of visiting the cinema, it is far preferable to download films onto portable devices to watch at home. However, others disagree and think that a truly cinematic experience cannot take place without the silver screen. Personally, I believe that both of these viewing methods are valid in equal measure.

On the one hand, one of the primary reasons why many people prefer watching a film on a smartphone to going to the cinema is convenience. There are many internet databases that contain the latest films. By downloading films to laptops or smartphones, people can watch films no matter where they are. Before the internet or smartphones, there was a very limited scope for the film-watching experience. Now, people can watch a film while they commute or while they do chores at home.

On the other hand, some people argue that the act of visiting the cinema is irreplaceable. According to this line of thinking, film is only an art form when watched in a darkened movie theatre, with a projector providing the larger than life moving image. They insist that this is how filmmakers intended for their work to be shown. Moreover, there is a sense of immersion that only exists in the cinema and cannot be replaced with a phone or tablet. All in all, there is a strong argument that watching a film on a small screen is just not the way that film is meant to be appreciated.

In conclusion, I believe that there are strong reasons why both viewpoints are equally valid.
