You recently organised an all-day meeting for your company, which took place in a local hotel. In their feedback, participants at the meeting said that they liked the hotel, but they were unhappy about the food that was served for lunch.
Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing in connection with a meeting which I organised to take place in your hotel on the 1st of November for the employees of the 'Avanta' company.

According to the feedback given by the guests, they thoroughly enjoyed the hotel facilities, particularly the outstanding gym and conference hall, as well as the reception area.

However, there was one particular aspect of our stay that was severely disappointing. In detail, we were frankly shocked by the poor standard of catering. We were provided with your hotel’s complimentary lunch service during our stay. My associates and I noted that the bread was stale, the meat was tough and overcooked, and we waited an hour between our starters and main courses. In fact, one of my colleagues was unable to come into work the next day due to nausea and vomiting, which was possibly due to food poisoning. We recommend that you supervise your kitchen and the cooking process more closely.

Given this context, we would appreciate at least some reassurance that such a disappointment will not occur on our next visit. Nonetheless, considering our satisfaction with the rest of your services, I will not make a formal complaint. I, on behalf of the company, hope that such an incident will not occur in future.
