Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to make a formal complaint with regard to the rubbish collection on my street, London Road.

Having been a member of the community for nearly a decade, I have seen a gradual but clear decline in the standard of our waste disposal services. Nowadays, the bins remain overflowing for weeks on end.

This situation is now having a negative impact on our community. Not only is the smell unbearable, but it also attracts pests. In fact, last week, my neighbour’s child received medical attention after having tripped on a pile of uncollected rubbish.

Given the seriousness of the issue at hand, I propose several urgent solutions. Firstly, the council should ensure that collection takes place regularly. Moreover, there needs to be more education for our residents on how to dispose of rubbish responsibly. When rubbish is thrown away carelessly, it only exacerbates the situation.
